Current Work Zones
The Indiana Toll Road Concession Company (ITRCC) is continuing a 2-year, $200 million project to rehabilitate and upgrade over 70 miles of roadway from Lake Station to Elkhart. Known as the 80/90 PUSH project, below is a summary of the construction activities for next week.
Starting 2/18/2017, barriers and lane restrictions will be placed in the following locations:
Lake and Porter County
St. Joseph County
Exit number 23 eastbound entrance and westbound exit
Exit number 77 eastbound entrance only
Minimizing Traffic Impact
To expedite the overall project schedule, construction will occur 24/7. One lane will be maintained in each direction throughout the project. Single lane closures on the toll road combined with a reduced work zone speed limit is intended to keep traffic moving smoothly and maintain a safe environment for construction workers and travelers.
